Cruisin’ to the Square, the annual car/truck/motorcycle/tractor show on Jefferson’s downtown square, is slated for Thursday from 4:30 to 7 pm.
Organizers will block off the streets at about the square at 1 pm that day in preparation for the massive amounts of vehicles.
Along with seeing classic and contemporary vehicles, attendees will have several food options, including hotdogs, hamburgers and ribeye sandwiches grilled by the Greene County Cattlemen’s Association east side of the courthouse; a food truck near the Thomas Jefferson Gardens; and homemade pie with ice cream and root beer floats served by the Jefferson Does on the southeast corner of the courthouse grounds.
Several downtown retailers have planned a “poker walk” that evening. Participants have a chance to win one of eight $25 Chamber Check prizes.
Awards for vehicles in several categories will be presented shortly after the event. The rain date is the next day on Friday.
